Executive function
skills provide vital supports for learning and development, and when we are not
born with these skills, we are born with the ability to develop them through
dialogue and practice. And the executive function consists following skills:Attention Control: It is the ability to concentrate
on the task even if we find it disturbing.
Cognitive inhibition: It is the ability to take out
the motivation that is not connected with our task.
Working memory: The ability to keep information
required for decision making and logic.
Cognitive flexibility: The ability to accept
changes in rules and conditions.
Via Fun activities: There are multiple fun
activities that teachers used to do it with kids and teens for improving their Executive Functioning NJ. Some of them
are:
Guessing Games: Game like 20 questions or I-spy teaches children how to think in categories
and for the objects they are trying to guess, they need to use their memory to keep track of
all the norms.
Card Games: Many of
the card games can teach executive work skills, but my favorite is Uno - this
is a game where the order of play can change rapidly, and children have to keep
track of the colors and numbers (this card-sorting games more intense version
is up).
Minecraft:
It helps a lot in executive functioning, as it requires kids to keep multiple locations in mind,
they must adhere to some rules as to how different characters and materials can be used,
and they need to develop strategies to meet their goals.
Similarly, many types
of games are available to increase Executive functioning NY in a fun way.
